Alisa (Dauro) Clark, Class of 2006, has she spent more than a decade working in academic publishing in Boston and building up her own family before moving back to Huntsville during the pandemic. Struck by how Huntsville has changed over time, she started a magazine resource guide designed for new residents moving into Huntsville, helping them know where to go, what to do, and who to trust!
What is She Doing Now?
Alisa is the CEO and publisher of “Welcome Home Huntsville”, dedicated to creating connections between Huntsville newcomers and their city!
Reconnecting with JPII
Alisa reconnected with her roots at a career fair at JPII, catching up with Tania Yee and Vince Bellofatto from the Advancement Office. She then invited them to her business’s 2026 Spring Launch Party. They had a blast and absolutely loved the emphasis on support for local businesses. Alisa has truly built something great in her time after graduating from JPII. She even credits JPII (Catholic High) for influencing her through her peers caring attitude, their support of striving for success and even the college prep program that helped her in college! JPII thanks her again for inviting us and wishes her many blessings!
A Note on Her Inspiration
When Alisa moved back to Huntsville, she realized that all the old ways to get to know the community sort of died off during the pandemic. So, seeing this need, she used her skills to build up something new through Welcome Home Huntsville, which helps new residents enter the next chapter of their lives.
