Alisa (Dauro) Clark, Class of 2006, has she spent more than a decade working in academic publishing in Boston and building up her own family before moving back to Huntsville during the pandemic. Struck by how Huntsville has changed over time, she started a magazine resource guide designed for new residents moving into Huntsville, helping them know where to go, what to do, and who to trust!

JPII is excited to spotlight three of our alumni who were actively involved in college campus ministry and attended the SEEK 2025 conference in Salt Lake City, UT. Amelia Geist (Class of 2022, Junior at the University of Alabama), Dayana Mendoza (Class of 2023, Sophomore at the University of Alabama Huntsville), and Tyler Greges (Class of 2024, Freshman at Auburn University) represented their campus ministries at the event.

Paul Andrzejewski (Class of 2023) returned to Huntsville in Feburary 2025 with the Army Black Knights baseball team where they played a three-game series against University of North Alabama.

Since graduating from JPII in 2021, James Wiegmann (Class of 2021) has pursued a passion for languages and culture at the University of North Alabama. He majored in German, with minors in Spanish and Global Studies, and stayed busy as a German tutor, an active member of the foreign language department, and president of Catholic Campus Ministries, where he helped plan and lead student events.

We’re shining the spotlight on Jacob Tygielski (Class of 2008), a Team USA Triathlete. Jacob competed in the 2024 World Triathlon Long Course World Championship in Townsville, Australia. This grueling race featured a 2-mile swim, a 72-mile bike ride, and a 19-mile run. Let’s take a closer look at Jacob’s journey into the world of triathlon.

Maximilian Waldron, Class of 2020, pursued a Bachelors in Business Administration at Samford after graduating from St. John Paul II Catholic High School. Then, he followed God’s call toward the seminary.

JPII is proud of Zachary Merrick (Class of 2025), Jamea Gordon (Class of 2024), and Matthew Heiliger (Class of 2024) for their dedication to service of our country! Their hardwork and discipline is outstanding! Please join us in recognizing and praying for them and all of our Falcons in active military duty.

The 2026 Fr. Louis Giardino Golf Classic will be on Monday, May 11 at Huntsville Country Club! Lunch is at 11:00AM and a shotgun start is at 12:30PM.

St. John Paul II Catholic High School (JPII) has been named to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll! St. John Paul II Catholic High School is a Platinum member of the Honor Roll! JPII had 83% of seniors who took at least one AP Exam during high school, 75% of seniors scoring a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 27% of seniors who took five or more AP Exams!

JPII will be closed December 22 to January 2. School will reopen on January 5, 2026. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
